The aim of the project of ERASMUS+RURAL BIOENERGY is the development of skills and basic professional competencies for the management of bioenergy in rural areas, providing resources for trainers and teachers in vocational in new professional qualifications about rural bioenergy and bio-economy; as well as for lifelong learning and non-formal learning, due to the need to satisfy the professional demands which are emerging and they will appear in European rural areas in the future.

It exists an important need of these new professional qualifications due to the use of policies and European strategies about economy, environment, climate change, energy and rural development (Europe Strategy 2020, Agricultural Common politics, the Boards for the renewable energies, the strategic mark about climate and the energy for the period 2030, reindustrialization of the EU of a rural economy and a circular economy based on the rural way, roadmap of the energy for 2050, etc.)

RURAL BIOENERGY will assist to promote the professionalization in rural areas, diversify rural economy and it will increase the agro-services competitiveness thanks to the formation of the rural population in order to allow the expansion of the economic rural activities by means of the efficient use of the natural and local resources, on the base of the strategies of the European Union.
